At a networking event a young woman approached me as I was in conversation with some other attendees. She asked me for my card and said she would be in contact.
Sure enough a couple weeks later I was contacted by an incredible young entrepreneur by the name of Angelica Pequeno. Angelica has her own marketing agency in Long Beach called Just Ad Me and as soon as I sat down with her I knew we would end up working together. I was impressed her possibility thinking… plus she had a great idea!
The Long Beach Airport was bidding a multi-year contract for their promotional products, a huge opportunity but extremely competitive. Every major promotional products agency in the state was invited to bid and Angelica wasn't even in the business.
She doesn't know the promotional products business but she does know marketing and she has a good eye for detail. After carefully studying the requirements of the bid she knew that if she was able to team up with my company, our combined capabilities would be tough to match. When she explained her idea to me I knew we'd win the contract…. And that is what happened.
